Billpedia is a bill scanning and AI explanation app. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the app uses and how it is handled.
๐ What data the app uses
Scanned bill text โ When you scan a bill, the extracted text is sent to Google Gemini AI to generate an explanation. This is processed temporarily and not stored.
Chat messages โ Messages you type in the chat are sent to Google Gemini AI for a response. These are also processed temporarily and not stored.
Scan count โ The number of scans you have used is tracked locally on your device only. It is never sent anywhere.

Photos or videos from your device

Any data beyond what is described above
๐ท Camera
The app uses your camera only to scan bills. No images or videos are saved or transmitted. The camera is only active when you choose to scan.
๐ Third-party services
Billpedia uses the following Google services:
Google Gemini AI โ processes your scanned text and chat messages to generate AI responses.
Google ML Kit โ reads text from your bill images directly on your device.
Data sent to Gemini AI is automatically deleted within 90 days. For more details, see Google's Privacy Policy.

All data sent from the app is encrypted using HTTPS. We do not run any servers or databases. No user data is stored by us.
